Although you can run a small Drupal site on the $6/month Droplet (server), we recommend that you go with the $12, $18, or $24 Droplets.

Standalone Droplets (servers) are only recommended for small non-critical sites. If you're looking to run a mission critical site, then you should run your site on a managed cluster with a managed database - go to DevPanel.com and get started with the Free plan. FYI: The smallest cluster setup starts at $48/month and lets you run any number of dev, stage, and prod sites in that same cluster.
